Culinard Participates in Fright Night, Wins Top Booth Prize
Friday, October 30, 2009

Representatives from Culinard, the Culinary Institute of Virginia College, recently participated in a special night's events, with attendees representing the area's hotels and other hospitality vendors and area tourism personnel. The "mad hatter" cake was designed and baked by employees of Culinard Café. The booth was designed and decorated by Culinard staff as well, including representatives from Century, the new Culinard-operated fine dining restaurant now open at the historic Tutwiler Hotel. Many of those staffers can be seen in the other photos, displaying their costumes and dancing ability.

The booth took top honors for the event. Or was that "top hat honors?"

"Virginia College has given me the confidence that I lacked to be sure that I could complete any job assignments just like other people. I am now equipped with the knowledge that affords me better opportunities. I am so glad that I enrolled."
