ECA Staff Member Races in Remembrance of Late Team Member

When Jeff Herle, Senior Vice President, Operations, for Virginia College Online Programs Division, ran in a recent race, he literally carried the memory of a fellow employee on his back. Herle wore a sign created by the Marketing Department graphics designers to honor Clyde Gilmore, an employee at the school's corporate headquarters who recently lost a long battle with cancer.

"I believe it's important to recognize and remember those individuals who embody our culture," Herle said. "Although in a corporate support role, Clyde was one of those individuals who did his job well and helped others be successful while shunning the limelight and never complaining about his condition. I was proud to run with him today."
