Career programs offered at the new Virginia College School of Business and Health will prepare students to enter the work force in a wide range of programs, each in an area in which the fastest job growth is expected.  Program areas will include Office Management, Criminal Justice, Health and Medical, and Paralegal Studies.  The campus will also offer bachelor’s degrees in Business Management, Criminal Justice, Health Services Management.  The campus is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.

“We are pleased to become a part of the vibrant Chattanooga business community,” says Campus Director Kane Walls.  “We think we can fill a real need by supplying employers with well-trained and motivated graduates and we look forward to working with businesses, law firms and medical facilities in this great area.”

Walls emphasizes that the school’s bachelor programs should be of great value to those in the area who have earned some college or an associate’s degree already from other educational providers.  That credit may be applied in many cases to a bachelor’s program at Virginia College School of Business and Health and students can earn the degree in much less time than they imagined.  Walls also notes U.S. Census data that shows a person with a bachelor’s degree in the state of Tennessee earns on average more than $12,000 a year more than someone with “some college.”

Those interested in attending or learning more about the new school may call 423-893-2000 or visit on the Internet at www.vc.edu/chattanooga.  Financial aid is available for those who qualify and Virginia College School of Business and Health offers lifetime career placement assistance for its graduates.
