Virginia College in Charleston Announces Staff Changes and Promotions

Virginia College in Charleston, South Carolina, has announced the promotion several of its employees. Chelsea Langan, a former Administrative Assistant, was promoted to Associate Registrar; Gwendolyn Fleming, former Admissions Associate and Student Services Associate, was promoted to Campus Online Coordinator; Crystal J. Parlier was promoted to Director of Admissions; and Lateefa Cusak, former Student Accounts Coordinator, was promoted to Registrar. The campus also hired Javonna Mitchell as Business Office Manager. 

  



Langan, a native of Charleston, graduated from the College of Charleston with a bachelor's degree in communications in 2003. She is pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree from Virginia College in the fall. Langan has previous experience in television, radio and print media.

 

 



Fleming graduated with an associate's degree in human resources management from Virginia College's online programs in 2009. She was awarded the Imagine America Scholarship and Virginia College in Charleston's President Spirit Award in 2009.

 

 



Cusak earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Columbia College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Charleston Southern University. Prior to joining Virginia College, Cusak worked was a credit analyst for a major electrical and safety supply company

 

 

Parlier earned her undergraduate degree from Troy University. She started her career with Education Corporation of America as an Admissions Associate in Greenville, South Carolina, and was later promoted to Associate Director of Admissions for the Charleston campus.

 

 

 


Mitchell holds a certificate of professional accountancy from Trident Technical College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from South Carolina State University. She also earned a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in HR Management and a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership from Webster University.
