Ecotech Institute grad enters "bright new world of solar energy"

Oct 18, 2012

"If you would have told me just two years ago that I'd be living in Hawaii and working for a solar company, I would have thought you were crazy. However, that's what I'm doing today and I couldn't be happier."

So writes Myers Nguyen, a member of Ecotech Institute's first graduating class in Solar Power World.

In a separate interview, Mr. Nguyen said Ecotech Institute was his path to a third career. Prior to enrolling, he had worked as a certified massage therapist and an accountant. "I was ready for a change to something better, more lucrative, challenging and rewarding," he said.

His Ecotech Institute experience allowed Mr. Nguyen to acquire a "new-found knowledge, a unique set of skills and a confidence" that will serve him well in his first solar job in Hawaii with solar integrator Sunetric.
