Campus President Nick Foong, surrounded by his staffers at Virginia College in Columbia, takes a break during a recent new student orientation.
Dr. Bridget Robinson, Associate Dean of Nursing for the Mobile campus, reports several advances in the Associate Degree in Nursing program over the last nine months, including pass rates for the NCLEX-RN that exceed the Alabama Board of Nursing benchmark.
The NCLEX-RN, which stands for National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses, is administered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
Other advances for the program include an enhanced nursing pinning ceremony, revised student-centered policies and procedures, the addition of student representatives to the advisory board and various community outreach efforts.
Dr. Robinson added, "I am so proud of the fantastic faculty team here in Mobile and most of all, I'm proud of these dedicated future RNs in our program. I'm honored to join them on this journey."
