Checking in with Jacksonville Students

Dec 8, 2010

Pharmacy Technician students at Virginia College in Jacksonville recently met with store management at a local Save Rite Pharmacy to get a real-world look at pharmacy operations. The students came away with a new awareness of retail operations, professional development, ordering processes, pharmacy technician responsibilities, and obligations to the Board of Pharmacy after being licensed.

Students at Culinard, the Culinary Institute of Virginia College, prepared a Thanksgiving lunch for persons with disabilities at New Heights of Northeast Florida. The Jacksonville nonprofit provides services to hundreds of infants, children and adults in five counties of the Northeast Florida area.
