Work and Play the Virginia College Way

Dec 9, 2010

A building project for Habitat for Humanity recently included the Academic Affairs team for Virginia College's online division.  The group spent a day working on a house for a worthy family, but it was also a powerful team-building opportunity for the Birmingham-based staff.  The homeowners were due to receive their house keys by the holidays.

A Fall Festival for students and family members was hosted by Virginia College School of Business and Health in Chattanooga. Everyone enjoyed popcorn and hotdogs, along with activities such as arts & crafts, bead making, cake walks, face painting, ring toss, football launch, and more!

Having perfect attendance from October 18th through November 12th allowed Biloxi's Virginia College students to enter a drawing for a Thanksgiving dinner. Kissy Maurice, Student Services Coordinator, drew the name of Vicki Gladden, a day Medical Assisting student, and Johanna Lott, an evening Therapeutic Massage student.
Edna Higgins, Campus President, provided all of the fixings for a huge Thanksgiving dinner for the two winners.
