Over the holidays, Virginia College in Pensacola donated 63 new blankets to the Council on Aging of West Florida, a community advocacy and services organization. The blankets were collected at the school's annual Holiday Party at New World Landing in downtown Pensacola.

In a letter of appreciation, the president of the Council on Aging, John B. Clark, said the donation helped seniors "remain safely and independently in the community and in their own homes."

"You were the miracle needed by numerous elders this winter," he continued.

Delivering the blankets to the agency, L to R: Susan Weisner, Michelle Sims, Susan Gibson, Dr. Kim Coolidge, Katheryn Fox, and Donecia Griffin.
