Ecotech Campus Solar Trees Featured in National Media

Jan 13, 2011

The newly installed solar trees in the parking lot at Ecotech Institute's Aurora, Colorado (Denver area) campus facility have drawn press coverage. See one example HERE. The unique solar installation will not only generate clean electricity for the school and give students practical experience on their maintenance and upkeep, but they will also provide shade for the parking area.

"Our leading designs will be an ideal catalyst for the students at this innovative learning center, and we are proud to have been chosen as a prime example of the right way to design and deploy solar parking arrays," says Envision Solar President Desmond Wheatley, whose company designed and installed the units.

Ecotech Institute prepares students for careers in fields such as solar power, wind turbine technology, sustainable interior design, environmental paralegal, and the environmental jobs of the new green economy. Students began classes in the new facility in early January.
