Virginia College in Baton Rouge Invites Community to Tour New Campus at Open House and Ribbon Cutting Event

BATON ROUGE, La. -- January 14, 2011 -- Virginia College in Baton Rouge will welcome visitors at an open house and ribbon cutting to showcase its state-of-the-art classrooms, labs, medical and cosmetology areas. The event, which will celebrate opportunities for Baton Rouge area students and employers, will be held on Thursday, Feb 3rd from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the campus located at 9501 Cortana Place. A ribbon cutting will take place at 5:30 p.m.

Virginia College in Baton Rouge began classes in October 2010. At capacity, the school will enroll up to 1,200 students and graduate 200 each year. The 60,000 square foot campus, formerly Dave and Barry's, was completely renovated representing an investment of $4.2 million. The new campus features medical labs, an operating suite, a pharmacy lab, a library and a student-operated cosmetology salon that is open to the public.
