Golf Academy of America: Orlando roundup

Three big honors for instructor Rod Perry of Golf Academy of America, Orlando campus: named the 2010 Teacher of the Year by the East Central Chapter of the North Florida PGA (NFPGA); won the NFPGA Section Player of the Year; and ranked sixth in the National Player of the Year points for the PGA of America.

GAA instructor Ray Herzog is now eligible to be on the National Rules Committee, as well as serve as a Rules Official at PGA Tour and PGA of America events. He recently scored a 92 on the USGA/PGA of America Rules exam.

The PGA Merchandise Show offered Golf Academy of America students the opportunity to attend one of the industry's largest and most exciting events. Over 100,000 golf products were on display, and the students were able to network with some of the thousands of professionals from all aspects of the golf industry. Many students set up interviews with national companies while they were in Orlando.
