Virginia College Greenville Students Qualify for National Competition

Two teams of Virginia College business students from Greenville recently qualified to participate in a national business competition.

In the state competition, seven business students from Virginia College participated and five won in their respective categories. They will go on to compete in the Future Business Leaders of America / Professional Business Leaders (FBLA-PBL) event taking place June 23-26 in Orlando.

The Virginia College teams competed against students from University of South Carolina, Allen University, Benedict College, Newberry College and Strayer University. This was Virginia College's first state team competition with FBLA-PBL, which helps prepare students for careers in business.

Winning Virginia College students were Javeon Wright, Queeyonda Smith, Javion Woods, Kassius Barton and Donna Whitehead.
