Culinard beats 73 Richmond restaurants in dessert competition

Jul 6, 2011

Creating the second–best dessert in a city–wide competition isn't bad for a new culinary school, especially when you beat out the best efforts of 73 area restaurants.

The newly–opened Culinard, the Culinary Institute of Virginia College in Richmond, recently participated in Broad Appetite, a downtown food festival that raises money for a local food bank. Over 75,000 people attended the event.
