Culinard students learn about food allergies

Recently, Chef Joel Schaefer made a presentation on the importance food allergies to the students at Culinard, the Culinary Institute of Virginia College. Antony Osborne, Dean of Culinard, said this was an especially relevant topic for chefs since, if untreated, food allergy symptoms can be fatal.
Chef Schaefer has an extensive history in this field and gave lectures to the morning, afternoon and evening students.
