Nineteen instructors from ECA schools honored with teaching awards

In a presentation on December 7, Education Corporation of America (ECA) President/CEO Tom Moore and Chief Academic Officer Sara Lawhorne presented Tonya Dumas with the system-wide ECA Excellence in Teaching Award, the highest honor that ECA can bestow upon an instructor.
Ms. Dumas is an instructor at Virginia College in Huntsville.
The Award annually recognizes and rewards instructors who have demonstrated innovation and excellence in teaching. Winners of the award at the campus level for 2012 are:

The ECA Excellence in Teaching Award is open to any Program Director or full-time, part-time or adjunct instructor from Virginia College, Virginia College Online Programs, Golf Academy of America, Ecotech Institute or NECB. Any campus employee may make a nomination.
