Students in a Surgical Technology lab at Virginia College in Columbia were visited recently by staffers from the city's NBC affiliate, WIS-TV, including (L to R) Beth Desjardins, Advertising Account Executive; Debbie Johnson, Locals Sales Manager; and Tenessa Jennings, Community Web Producer.
Business student Myron McGee didn't let a foot injury stop him from attending classes recently.
Myron wrote to Campus President Nick Foong, "My education is very important to me. You all have shown compassion, patience and awesome assistance to me during this time of healing and recovery. I am very appreciative and thankful to you, my Program Director, Mrs. Knox, and the instructors who have given me so much support. I once again thank you and I am honored to be a soon to be alumni of Virginia College."
Cosmetology students in Columbia recently took a field trip to the local MAC Cosmetics location to get hands-on with some of the latest cosmetics products. One student said, "We had a blast, and are always learning and implementing new makeup techniques and procedures."
