Charleston students pitch in to help peer after house fire

Feb 22, 2013

Above, Virginia College in Charleston students, faculty and staff members took time out to celebrate at the end of fundraising activities on Valentine's Day. The event benefited a student in the Medical Assistant program and her family members (including a six-month old baby) who were recently displaced by a house fire.

Student Services Associate Gwendolyn Fleming and Admissions Associate Tiffany Huger are two of the staffers who donated items to assist the student and her family during their hardship. Virginia College Ambassadors also were active in the effort.
