Greensboro Chamber members visit Birmingham

Apr 26, 2013

The Birmingham Business Alliance recently hosted members of the Greensboro (N.C.) Chamber of Commerce while they visited Birmingham as part of a program called Intercity Visits. Administrators from Virginia College's Greensboro and Birmingham campuses participated.

More than 100 Chamber members traveled to Birmingham to learn from the city's success in higher education, medicine, manufacturing, entrepreneurship, business and the arts. The two-day event included a reception at The Club and tours of Innovation Depot, Lakeview, Avondale, and Forest Park neighborhoods.

According to official literature, Greensboro's Intercity Visits program allows civic and business leaders to "engage in collective community visioning through best practices and lessons learned from other successful communities."
