Virginia College in Jackson celebrates new campus

Virginia College in Jackson celebrated a historic milestone on May 2 with an official grand opening of its new campus.
Campus President Milton Anderson welcomed more than 300 members of the Jackson and Flowood community to the event, thanking them for the generous support. ECA'S Chief Marketing Officer Chuck Trierweiler also spoke at the event.
"We are delighted to be her celebrating the grand opening of this campus, and to celebrate our 30th anniversary." He also spoke of the investment Virginia College has made, noting that $5.1 million had been invested in the building and renovation.
Representatives from the Mayor's office, and the Jackson Chamber also addressed the guests.
Guest enjoyed tours and demonstrations of the new 65,000-square-foot facility, located at 5841 Ridgewood Road. Among the tour highlights were the medical assisting lab, pharmacy technology lab, business classrooms, and network engineering. Free styling services were also provided by students at V's Student Cosmetology.
An elegant reception was provided by Culinard Catering, along with live music and gift bags for the guests as they departed.
