Birmingham instructor Kristin Corley receives interior design honor

Virginia College in Birmingham is pleased to announce that Interior Design instructor Kristin Corley has been selected as the International Interior Design Association's (IIDA) Alabama Member of the Month.

Corley began teaching Interior Design with Virginia College in October of 2012 and has instructed classes in Senior Design, Commercial Design, Portfolio Development and Business for Interiors. She is a Registered Interior Designer with the state of Alabama and is currently on the Alabama Board for Registered Interior Designers. Corley also holds the LEED AP designation for sustainable design and previously served as President of IIDA's Alabama chapter.

Corley's experience includes a career in Store Planning with Parisian retail stores, Southern Nuclear facility design and her current position as Project Manager and Director of Interior Design with TurnerBatson Architects, where she has worked for 16 years.

Virginia College in Birmingham is proud to have such an outstanding asset on the team and congratulate her for this recent achievement.
