Virginia College in Shreveport/Bossier City Announces Grand Opening of V's Student Cosmetology Services to be Held September 19

SHREVEPORT/BOSSIER CITY, La. - September 9, 2013 - Virginia College in Shreveport/Bossier City announced today the grand opening of V's Student Cosmetology Services on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013. The event will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at the campus located at 2950 E. Texas St. and will include door prizes and complimentary hors d'oeuvres with a ribbon cutting taking place at 4:30 p.m. The event will also serve as a Business After Hours for the Bossier Chamber of Commerce.

"We are excited about the opening of the newest location of V's Student Cosmetology Services in Shreveport/Bossier City and the hands-on learning opportunities it brings for our students," says Melody Rider, president of Virginia College in Shreveport/Bossier City.
Salon professionals are welcome at the event as well as potential students and their families. While enjoying refreshments, guests can also enter to win door prizes.
The Shreveport/Bossier City cosmetology retail operation brings the total number of locations to 23, which includes the opening this year of two additional V's located in Florence, S.C., and Greensboro, N.C. Appointments can be made by calling 318.741.2667. V's hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
V's allows students to learn the skills and creativity they will need to be successful in their cosmetology careers. V's services will include haircuts, hairstyling, permanent hair treatments, color treatments, braiding, extensions, body care, nail care, make-up and esthetic services to the community. All work is performed by Virginia College cosmetology students under the direct supervision of licensed cosmetology instructors.
The cosmetology program at Virginia College provides students with a solid background of practical hands-on training directly related to the cosmetology industry and prepares students to take the State Board of Cosmetology licensing examination.
Virginia College partners with Pivot Point International as a Member School to bring the best possible cosmetology training methods to its students. The Pivot Point Member School Program encompasses an all-inclusive cosmetology curriculum, delivered through a systematic, hands-on approach utilizing the most contemporary delivery methods available.
