Virginia College in Shreveport celebrates first graduates and V's opening
Oct 3, 2013
Virginia College in Shreveport recently celebrated two firsts for the campus: the first graduating class and the grand opening of student-run cosmetology salon.
"I'm so proud of our first graduates," said A'Timberly Mapp, Cosmetology Program Director. "Whitney, Olivia and Andi have all been through the trials and tribulations of a new program at a new campus, and they all came out on top! We have laughed together, cried together, coughed and sneezed together, and I am truly blessed to have had them in my life for a season. These ladies, and this special moment for them, are truly the reason that I look forward to coming to work every day."
Armin Garza, Medical Assistant Program Director, had kind words about Rebecca LaGrange, the first graduate in that program.
"She was a wonderful, motivated student and she graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Ms. LaGrange did such an outstanding job on her externship that she was hired by her clinic. Great job Rebecca, and thank you for being a great student!"
