Medical Assistant students learn about art and science of healing
Nov 21, 2013
Virginia College Medical Assistant students in Baton Rouge attended the first annual Life’s a Canvas event hosted by Baton Rouge General Medical Center and WAFB Channel 9. The students were able to talk with physicians and hear presentations from local physicians and surgeons. Director of Allied Health Deanna Stephens, RMA, said, "The most remarkable part of the event was the painting of the Tree of Life, representing life after cancer and despite cancer."
The students in attendance were Ronald Williams, Tabitha Brenning, Pamela Favaron, and Lyehesa Todd. Instructors were Rosalynn Thyssen and Kimberly Clark.
