Students and staff at Virginia College in Montgomery helped in the fight against breast cancer recently by participating in the Walk of Life, raising nearly $2,000 in support of breast cancer research.
The Virginia College in Austin Student Society recently coordinated several events to raise money for the March of Dimes. As seen above, various paper chains suspended from the ceiling represented the school's programs. Links were sold for a dollar, allowing students from various programs to compete. Between the money raised for the links and sale of tee shirts, the Virginia College Student Society raised a total of $2,528.89 which was presented at the March of Dimes walk.
And speaking of March of Dimes, Virginia College in Augusta made a big impression at their recent March of Dimes event with the largest turnout of any area college. As a result, the students have been invited to attend next year's event as VIPs.
