Charleston’s Virginia College campus recently combined a Friends and Family event with a successful hair show, including master designers from Ulta Beauty, one of the national partners for the Cosmetology program. Pictured above, in front of the Christmas tree, are Ulta Beauty’s Jessica Muniz, Michelle Cordova, Christina Cruppenink and Christine Peppin.
Cosmetology students chose Disney as the overarching theme, with each class developing its show around a Disney movie.
In addition to the hair show, the campus partnered with Charleston Dress for Success, which demonstrated appropriate fashions for the business world. Several students secured clothing from the organization and modeled them during the show.
Virginia College in Columbia Market Development Manager Dwiyana Hill had always dreamed of starting a charitable organization to assist pregnant and parenting teenagers. Virginia College in Pensacola recently presented United Way with a check for $2,346.07, the amount raised during the 2014 campaign.
