In Baton Rouge, Student Ambassadors and Student Services Associate Toi Varmall recently volunteered at St. Clare Manor retirement home to help residents put up a Christmas tree and decorations.

Thanksgiving feast.

The faculty and staff Virginia College in Biloxi hosted a Thanksgiving feast for students. Everyone enjoyed a buffet-style meal while listening to jazz and classical music. In addition to the fellowship with classmates and employees, students received a small token of appreciation for their hard work.

The Pensacola campus (above, left) and the Birmingham campus (above, right) recently reinforced the theme for the fall 2014 exam period, “Rock Your Finals.”

Cosmetology students from Virginia College in Columbia were recently featured as the opening act in a city-wide hair show at which one of the campus instructors, Shanay Starks, was a primary organizer.

The Fort Pierce campus celebrated the holidays recently with a Holiday Friends and Family Open House. The festive event included a visit from Santa, cookie decorating, face painting, card decorating and lots of food.

Attendees were encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to benefit children of students in need.

Virginia College in Jackson faculty and staff provided Thanksgiving dinner during the Fall Award’s Day. Students received awards for President’s List, Dean’s List, Perfect Attendance and Student of the Month.

Congratulations go out to Chef Bob Henry, Program Director of Culinard, the Culinary Institute of Virginia College, and his team of chef instructors for winning “Program of the Year” honors at the Jacksonville campus recently.
