Kitchen on San Marco Opens In Grand Style

Kitchen on San Marco, a gastropub, recently began welcoming guests in its Jacksonville location. The restaurant hosted several events to celebrate the opening including VIP Night March 30, where select media, travel/tourism representatives, Virginia College faculty and administration, and ECA executives attended.

On March 31, Kitchen on San Marco continued its opening week festivities with an event for members of the Ronald McDonald House’s Red Shoe Crew to raise funds for the organizations capital campaign. Guests enjoyed Chef’s selection passed hors D’ouvres, and wine or beer from the gastropub’s wide and varied collection of local and craft beers. All profits from the sold out event were donated to the organization.

The event began with a ribbon cutting.

“We are proud to sponsor the Ronald McDonald House and plan to be a long term partner in their efforts to provide a safe haven for families and children in need,” said Eve Markowicz, General Manager, Kitchen on San Marco.

Those sentiments were echoed by Ronald McDonald House Executive Director Diane Boyle who thanked the Kitchen on San Marco team and led a rousing round of applause for Executive Chef Ryan Reynolds.
