A great time was had by all at the recent Virginia College in Charleston Poetry, Etc. Read-In. Sponsored by the Virginia College in Charleston library to recognize National Poetry Month, the Read-In spotlighted works created by Virginia College students as well as other notable authors. More than 50 students and faculty attended and about 15 students/faculty took the mic to share their works with the group.

Amanda Seeby, Enrollment Coordinator at Virginia College in Columbia, recently participated in a Harvest Hope food drive organized by United Way, and involving the USPS. Amanda is a Leadership Giver and also a member of the United Way’s YLS (Young Leaders Society).
The Virginia College in Montgomery nursing department held a "Dedication of Hands Ceremony" for nursing fundamental class students. This ceremony includes "washing, drying and the anointing" of hands before nursing students go to their first clinical site.
The Montgomery campus nursing department is headed by Tim Holloway, Interim Associate Dean of Nursing, Tina Betts, Nursing Clinical Coordinator and Heather Little, Nursing Instructor.
