Big-hearted Cosmetology students give back to communities
Sep 18, 2015
Chattanooga Cosmetology students recently volunteered their time at the Goldwing Road Riders Association’s national convention, providing manicure services in exchange for tips which were donated to CUT-IT-OUT Salons Against Domestic Abuse.
Columbia Cosmo students, in an effort to raise money for Hair Walk 201 – a wig-making charity that benefits breast cancer survivors – enjoyed a recent dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. The restaurant was donating 10% of all proceeds to the Hair Walk campaign.
The students were accompanied by Christine Pafford, PD (in floral blouse and glasses) and instructor Sharonda Davis (far right with loop earrings).
In Knoxville, Cosmetology students recently provided free haircuts to children ages 3 to 17 for the back-to-school season in Virginia College's V's Salon.
Cosmetology students and staffers in Lubbock deserve a “big thank you” for their teamwork on the recent Cuts for Kidz charity work. They showed phenomenal team work and community spirit by delivering 167 haircuts valued at $1,328. All of the proceeds were given back to the community. As a reward, participating students enjoyed lunch donated by Gatti’s Pizza.
