Virginia College in Lubbock staff and students getting it done

Virginia College in Lubbock announced academic awards recently that included Perfect Attendance, President's and Dean's lists. Students on the President's List had a grade point average of at least 4.0 and the Dean's List included students with at least a 3.5 average.

Workforce Solutions, a nonprofit organization, recently visited Virginia College in Lubbock to present a variety of support programs to students for who may be eligible. Some examples include tuition, books and training materials, funds for rent/utilities, fuel assistance and clothing for work.
Workforce Solutions administers a broad range of programs designed to address local workforce issues with business-directed objectives including career development, job training, childcare and education initiatives.
During Mini Term orientation students were excited to start calling Virginia College in Lubbock their new home. The day-long series of events for new students helps them learn about the people, places, activities and resources available on campus. Each student is introduced to his or her Program Director and given the program-specific information they need to get started on the right academic path.
Congratulations to the QNA Winners at Virginia College in Lubbock! These students won prizes, drawn at random, for responding to a quarterly questionnaire designed to improve their student experience.
National Watermelon Day was a good excuse for Lubbock students to refresh themselves by enjoying a cool treat.
